It’s the time of year again when family, friends, and strangers who become family and friends, come together to celebrate, and remember those we’ve lost to suicide, and raise both money and awareness for suicide prevention. 

On September 3rd, 2014, I lost my forever 17-year-old son Tyler who died by suicide. We gather yearly at the Santa Rosa Skatepark on Fulton Road, this year being the 11th Annual Ride For Tyler Memorial Jam.

Please come out with your family and friends and join us, it will be awesome! 

• A bounce house has been donated and there will be face painting for the kiddos
• Multiple generations riding BMX and on skateboards in the pit 
• Both a raffle with great prizes and an amazing silent auction for you to win!
• Great food and cold drinks 
• T-shirts, stickers, bracelets, and decals for purchase!
• Suicide prevention literature and information, SUICIDE CAN BE PREVENTED!

• *In California, 76% of communities did not have enough mental health providers to serve residents in 2023
• *Three times as many people died by suicide than in alcohol-related motor vehicle accidents
• You can dial 988 on your phone 24/7/365 to talk to trained mental health professionals about ANYTHING you’re going through 

WE NEED YOUR HELP PLEASE!

• We need people to donate items for the raffle. Ideas include gift cards to your favorite coffee place or favorite clothing store, movie tickets, upcoming community events, and merchandise (only new please)
• We need businesses to donate their products and services for the silent auction and get your business name, logo, and link on our website!
• If you’re able, we GLADLY and GRATEFULLY take cash donations! 
• Additionally, it would be amazing to have anyone with access to tables, chairs, and EZ-UPs bring them to the park in the morning!

ALL proceeds go directly to the Walk For Tyler Brattin team participating to raise money for the Out of the Darkness walk event on (TBD) to benefit The American Foundation for Suicide Prevention (AFSP) – 501c3
